The annual Christmas celebrations in Grimsby town centre are earmarked for Friday 22 November this year.

To help the town get into the festive spirit, the council is looking for experienced event organiser to co-ordinate, manage and deliver the annual event for 2025 across town centre locations from St James Square (including Grimsby Minster) to the Riverhead.

The aim of the festive activity is to create a dynamic and vibrant daytime and early evening event which kickstarts Christmas festivities in the town centre. It should showcase local and potentially national cultural activities or performances, and should also deliver a festive market selling primarily local food, drinks and crafts.

Alongside attracting additional footfall to the retail areas in the town centres ahead of the Christmas shopping period, the event supports businesses throughout the town, and provides a welcoming environment for people to enjoy the run up to the festive period.

If you’re an experienced event provider, and think this would be of interest, visit www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk and search for “Grimsby Town Centre Christmas Event 2025” or YORtender reference 99753 to find out more.

Closing date for tenders is Friday 20 June at 5pm, with an appointment soon afterwards.
