North East Lincolnshire Council have teamed up with R-Evolution to host a series of Doctor Bike workshops to ensure your bikes are in safe working condition.

The events kicked off in May and will continue through to October, taking place across several venues in the borough to help residents get their bikes out of the garage and back on the road.

The Doctor Bike team will be attending each event to carry out free bike safety checks. The team of trained cycle mechanics will be able to fix most minor repairs for free whilst you wait, or give you advice about how to go about getting more serious problems fixed. So, whether it’s a squeaky brake or a slow puncture that is slowing you down pop along and see the team.

The next sessions now available to book are from Tuesday 22 July to Thursday 28 August.

Tim Gooseman, Senior Transport Officer at North East Lincolnshire Council, adds “The sessions so far have been very successful. Repairs that have been made include gears, buckled rims, and chains as well as the general safety checks. We hope that offering the free events will encourage more people to use the service”

To take part, please book a free ticket online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/north-east-lincolnshire-council-amp-r-evolution-32941748313. Priority will be given to those who attend with a pre-booked ticket.

Participants can book tickets for up to three bikes, each bike must have its own ticket. There will be a 30-minute time slot printed on each ticket, please try and be there within that period to help keep any queues to a minimum.

The Doctor Bike events are regularly sold out so please cancel your ticket if for any reason you are no longer able to attend the event. That way, your space can be given to someone else.

Keep your eyes peeled for more dates releasing soon.
