Residents are invited to enjoy a fun-filled day of football-themed activities as the World Cup Fever activity day comes to Holbeach this May.

The event will take place on Thursday 28 May 2026, from 11am to 3pm, at Carter’s Park, Holbeach (PE12 7EE), offering a wide range of free activities for families, children and young people to enjoy.

Holbeach United Football Club will be at the activity day, joining a range of local partners including Holbeach Hub and Spalding Amateur Boxing Club, all coming together to support the event and engage with the community.

The day has been designed to bring the community together through sport, creativity and play, with plenty on offer for all ages. Visitors can look forward to face painting from Lincs 66, creative flag-making and crafts with Kathleen, and a giant ball run construction activity delivered by Joker Entertainment. Those keen to get active can take on the obstacle course with Wild Bush Fitness or try their luck at the inflatable giant football darts.

Football fans will also have the chance to take part in shootouts and activities alongside local grassroots football clubs, and to showcase their talent in football skills competitions, with prizes available. Adding to the excitement, an interactive “Around the World” park trail will allow families to explore and take part in themed challenges throughout the park.

Cllr Gary Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Community Development at South Holland District Council, said:
“We’re really pleased to be bringing this fantastic event to Holbeach.

“It’s a great opportunity for families to come together, enjoy some fun activities and celebrate the excitement of football in a welcoming community setting.

“I encourage and hope to see lots of people come along, get involved and enjoy everything the day has to offer.”

No booking is required, and all activities are free of charge.
