Gloworm has announced a leading children’s hospital as its official charity partner, ahead of the 10th edition of the family festival this August 2026.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital does incredible work supporting seriously ill children and their families from across the UK, seeing around 100,000 patients every year.

At the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, they believe there’s always more they can do for the children, young people and their families. It’s their mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to everyone who uses the hospital.

Now Gloworm is proud to play a small part in helping them continue that mission. To kick things off, three members of the Gloworm team will be taking on the Great Gloworm Skydive this July to raise funds for the charity.

Holly Lince, Stephen Lambert and Amy Bennett said it was a challenge they’re all looking forward to with a mix of excitement and nerves, but most importantly it’s an opportunity to support a cause that makes a real difference to young lives.

They’ll be jumping from the skies to help raise vital funds that support the amazing work the hospital does for seriously ill children and their families.

Richard Walpole, Gloworm Events director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charity this year. As a family festival, this partnership feels especially meaningful to us, many of the families who attend Gloworm may have experienced the incredible care and support the hospital provides, and it’s reassuring to know it’s there for anyone who needs it. Supporting the vital work they do for children and families means a great deal to us, and we’re excited to work together to create meaningful experiences both at the festival and beyond.”

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the life-changing work being done every day at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, whether that’s through a newly refurbished playroom or ward, a state-of-the-art piece of equipment or even a toy at Christmas.

Will Graves, senior regional fundraiser for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re honoured to be named as charity partner for this year’s Gloworm Festival. It’s an incredible, family-focused event, which aligns perfectly with a key pillar of our charity, which is to provide magical experiences for our young patients and families, so they can forget their hospital surroundings for a short while.

“The fact the team is going to extra mile by taking on a skydive for us means the world. We wish the daring trio the best of luck!”

The partnership will also see the team visiting the hospital to see the difference the charity is making to the children, young people and their families; donating festival tickets and inviting customers to make donations on ticket purchases along with opportunities to donate over the festival weekend.
