Foster families gathered in People's Park for an Easter Egg hunt last week, bringing smiles and chocolate filled joy to children of all ages. The event, saw over 80 Easter eggs generously donated by local businesses, creating an atmosphere of community spirit and celebration.

The event welcomed children of all ages, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to participate and enjoy the festivities. A foster carer, reflecting on the day's success, shared, "It's been a wonderful day, and the kids have loved it. The joy and excitement on their faces as they found the eggs was truly heart warming."

The Easter Egg hunt in People's Park not only provided a fun-filled day for foster children but also highlighted the strong support from the local community. The generous donations from businesses and the participation of foster families underscored the importance of coming together to create memorable experiences for children in foster care.

Councillor Margaret Cracknell, Portfolio Holder for Children and Education said:

“A huge thank you needs to go out to the businesses who have donated the Easter eggs for our foster children. The event at people’s park was a lovely celebration for our foster families with every child getting an Easter treat.

The community of foster carers in North East Lincolnshire is going from strength to strength and events like these are a wonderful way of bringing everybody together.”
