The Lincolnshire Community Foundation GRASSroots scheme, which has been funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund distributed by East Lindsey District Council, has supported more than 100 projects since its inception in 2023.
Open to not-for-profit community groups, registered charities, social enterprises and town and parish councils, the scheme is offering grants of up to £10,000 for capital and revenue projects which strengthen the social fabric of communities, build pride in place by improving local community infrastructure and create opportunities for social connections to develop and thrive.
Examples of initiatives which have already been supported by the scheme in South Holland include Burgh Angling Society, North Thoresby Community Orchard, Covenham Sailing Club and London Road Sports Partnership in Louth.
This opportunity to reopen the schemes has been made possible by savings realised through the UKSPF contracting process.
Councillor Steve Kirk, portfolio holder for the coastal economy, and Councillor Adam Grist, portfolio holder for market towns and the rural economy, said: “This scheme has consistently attracted a high level of interest from a wide variety of projects in both central and rural areas of the district.
“We are thrilled that savings made during contracting mean we can offer another opportunity for funding.
“The LCF GRASSroots scheme has transformed communities across East Lindsey and we are hopeful we can still back a few more meaningful projects before it comes to a close.”
Applications are open from today (Tuesday, April 14) until Tuesday, May 12 2026.
