Go4Growth across North East Lincolnshire: local businesses and organisations can now get more help to bid for council contracts.

As part of its commitment to local suppliers, North East Lincolnshire Council has taken some important steps to help businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) bid for its work.

The authority recently changed its Contract Procedure Rules (CPRs) – these govern the council’s procurement/ buying in of goods, works and services. The changes are designed to help local businesses access public sector opportunities, support economic growth and strengthen the local economy, while continuing to ensure value for money, transparency and fair competition.

To further help local businesses and organisations, the council has now invested in Go4Growth. This is a social enterprise that supports all those who want to bid for Local Government contracts and needs to understand more about the procurement process.

The main website area is free to access for anyone but, thanks to the council investment, businesses and organisations can read ‘Your Journey’ to find out more before going to the ‘membership’ section. If businesses register, complete their details and click the postcode ‘DN North East Lincolnshire’ tab, they will access a variety of webinars, training, 1:1 support and guidance.

Local businesses, SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to register on YORtender and the Government's Central Digital Platform (Find a Tender) to receive alerts about upcoming contract opportunities.

Registration is free and gives suppliers access to opportunities to provide goods, works and services to the Council and the wider public sector. Future planned NELC procurement opportunities are advertised on the procurement pipeline
