2024 has got off to a resounding start for renowned haircare brand Collinge & Co, who have received the news they have won five awards in the 2023 Veggie Awards including the respected GOLD Award for their Gentle Shampoo. The Veggie Awards shine a light on the cruelty-free and eco brands of tomorrow, awarding the standout brands in the plant-based and ethical industry that consumers will trust.

To enter the awards, the team at Collinge & Co had to complete an entry form detailing their vegan and sustainable credentials. The Veggie Awards team judged the products based on the criteria set for each category before creating a shortlist of 10-15 products.

Collinge & Co were thrilled to pick up five awards, including the highly respected GOLD award in the Cruelty-free Haircare category for their Collinge & Co Gentle Shampoo. The brand also won SILVER for the Cruelty-free Haircare category with their Collinge & Co Purple Shampoo, Collinge & Co Lightweight Conditioner and Collinge & Co Hair Treat and BRONZE with their Collinge & Co Blow Dry Lotion.

Created by Andrew & Liz Collinge and the Collinge & Co Team, who have used their extensive expertise to develop a nurturing haircare brand that uses the finest ingredients, Collinge & Co is synonymous with high performing haircare with a social conscious. All products are PETA approved, cruelty free, made in the UK and feature the kindest vegan ingredients to boost moisture, lock in colour and renew dry parched tresses and protect the scalp.

Discussing the GOLD win for the Collinge & Co Gentle Shampoo, Sarah Highfield, Columnist for Natural Health Woman,  Om Yoga Magazine and Travel Journalist at Health & Wellbeing UK, said,

“The Collinge & Co shampoo is extra gentle so perfect for anyone who likes to wash their hair daily.  The shampoo lathered up into a light frothy foam, which didn't dry my hair out or irritate my sensitive scalp.  It is sulphate free and contains UV filters too, so protects my colour and helps to retain moisture.  I loved the fresh, citrusy scent, which is super invigorating and perfect for helping to wake me up in the mornings!  This is my new go-to shampoo!”

Managing Director and co-founder of Collinge & Co, Charlie Collinge, added,

“We are delighted that Collinge & Co Gentle Shampoo has been judged Gold Cruelty Free Haircare category of the Veggie Awards 2023, and that other products from the range have been recognised with Silver and Bronze awards. From the outset of creating the range, we have been committed to using vegan ingredients and against testing on animals. Our professional performance haircare products were developed in collaboration with our salon stylists and clients. We’ve used the kindest ingredients, to boost moisture, lock in colour and wake up condition. Gentle Shampoo is one of our most popular products, it is versatile and receives fantastic feedback – we are very excited for it to be officially recognised by the Veggie Awards.”
